Radio and television are some of the major media in our country.
While coverage
has gone hand in hand from private investors, the public sector is also involved.
Currently there are 97 radio and television stations in Peru state. This level represents an increase of 34% compared to 72 stations in 2011.
This was revealed by the Advisory Council on Radio and Television (CONCORTV) in its report on “Statistics of radio and television in Peru 2013″.
And who the operators of these stations? The 84% of the owners are municipalities, while 12% belong to public universities.
Meanwhile, regional and national governments have a stake of 2% each.
